Lisa,

The only thing that will make me homesick is thinking about
the ethnic food I miss back in the Twin Cities. In St. Paul on the
East side, visit the Mexican neighborhood. Or downtown, check out
Sakura for sushi or Rau Mit for the best Thai food you ever ate.
There are a Gazillion Vietnamese Pho Noodle shops in St. Paul.
Mickey's dinner is a great old fashion railroad car diner used in the
movies. Get their potatoes O'Brien and a chocolate malt and a burger
(Jean prefers their Grilled Cheeze.)

In Minneapolis there are great Ethiopian restaurants,
the Shri Lanka is a favorite of Mick Jagger when he is in town. My son
worked there. It is like Indian food, but Hotter. You can get great
Greek food at "Its Greek To Me." Food for me & Jean's wedding came
from there. The Green Mill makes great deepdish garlic and spinach
pizza pie. It is more like a pie than regular "American" pizza.
The Lotus Uptown is good for Vietnamese. Pasquals is good for SW food.

Many other places to eat including bakeries and whole foods
places. I miss the Seward Cafe in St. Paul. I make a version of their
American Fries they call: "Red/Green Earth". I am sure it is even
more ethnically diverse than when I left. I am wondering if a
Tibetan Momo (steamed dumpling) shop has opened yet? Minnesota is
host to the largest group of resettled Tibetans in N. America.

Minnesota might not be "An Eating State", but St. Paul and
Minneapolis are Eating Cities.

Man, am I homesick!
