Hay Folks,
Some may recall my mention of the kiln built by Jeff Cline and Paul
Fleckinger for the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. With grant funding they
found an auspicious location North of Kalamazoo, Michigan on land
donated for the construction. The brick came from the same foundry near
Albion that built Ken Shenstones' enormous Anagama. It took about 10
weeks to build and first fire lasted near 10 days. Many students pitched
in and I was honored to be involved as a veteran fireman. Some shots
don't have people named and I apologize. If you see you let me know and
I'll give credit where due. Besides, I can't stand the picture numbers,
they seem so clinical.

As if shelving imported pots wasn't deflating enough today we got in a
bunch of artificial Christmas green stuff. This ought to be interesting.
I really have gotten a kick out of the customers making a mess of the
Halloween costumes and toys. Shop lifters are prety slick too. The "Spy"
told me a corner of my department that is a dump spot for the empty
packages. Then I was zoning up the jiggly "Turkey In The Straw" dolls
and found an empty condom box behind the 25' orange Pumpkin lights.
Geezz I wish I could have caught them in the act.

Stay in there!
