can a glaze change color due to sunlight?

Yes. Glaze can most definietly change from exposure to sunlight. This is
a problem that is endemic to, but perhaps not limited to, raku. If you
want to read the definitive account on the changeing nature of some raku
glazes and a mention of "photo reactivity" go to the Digital Fire
Websight and read Tom Bucks article on raku glazes. He wrote it quite a
few years back now and partially addressed this question.

Yes, I had a few piece of such porcelains in 1980s, the colour comes from
some rare metal in the glaze. The colour changes from blue to violet and
pink.
