used evenheat kiln

I bought a used Evenheat 27"x23" electric kiln on impulse yesterday, and
when I got it home I realized it was the exact same size as the one I
already have. It was sitting on a kiln stand and looked much bigger.
*sigh*. I paid $81.63 for it; is there anything interesting I can do
with it (i.e. use it for just salt-firing)? I don't know what used
ones usually go for, but this seemed sort of cheap - I'm open to
suggestions.

Well, you *could* put it on E-Bay, offer to pack it
for shipping, and sell it for 3 - 5 times what it's
worth ... but if you don't offer to pack it for
shipping don't expect much $ for it.

Sorry;
I should have qualified my original post! I meant I'm open to
constructive suggestions.

Convert to gas? There are tons of information in the archives for the
rationale and the methods.
Experiment with ^6 reduction techniques?
I'd be lookin' at this as a great opportunity to "mess around" for a
small investment.

Sounds like a perfect opportunity to convert it to a gas/electric that Mel
has explained in previous posts. Do you have any interest in firing
reduction? Where are you located? I would buy a $100 kiln to experiment
with you if you were close to me.
