I've really enjoyed seeing everyone's work, so I posted 2 photos showing the
amount of pots I got out of a bucket of local clay that was brought to me
(an equal amount of fireclay was added). I was sort of surprised at the
amount, so took 2 snaps of my patio table with the pots on it. Click on

They are now packed into 3 milk crates, and I have 4 more of stoneware ready
for the Flower Festival tomorrow- usually an intense 3 days of greeting
local people and selling. Also buses come up from LA- that helps.

So nice to see what you've done with local clay--I'm still waiting for my
buddy with the Department of Conservation to bring me some from his special
site. And now it's really summer, I'm not wild about prospecting myself,
guess I'll wait till fall.

Your work is lovely...it looks as though it's a red clay (earthenware or
stoneware?), glazed with ano opaque blue, white, etc., and a clear
transparent over the red clay, is this right? Gorgeous...

As is everyone else's on the new flickr site--but wishing more had the
potter's name on them up front, like Jenny's, Ann's, and Randy's!

Just a note on the Clayart Flickr site, you can click on Tags, and see a
list of all the names, and click on people by name. I think that will be
helpful when there are more photos.
