Hay Crew,
Yesterday I decided it was time to rebuilb the base of the Koie ash
cooker. Rick was over to change the cabin's steps and get me to clean up
the old yard wood and mow. We got a fire started but when he asked about
the small piles of dryed Balsam brush sitting there I remembered I hadn't
finished burning it in the cooker so I made the changes to the base I'd
thought up. The wash tub had worked it's way into the ground and started
to cop a lean. Now I can stuff the chamber before lighting and avoid so
much exposure to the smoke. The link to the new shots of this change
should be in http://public.fotki.com/GindaUP/rkt/rb1.html (hit next)
On these days off I got some gravel form behind the city garage and
today picked up some small gravel from the Hayes pit, left over from when
there was a machine opperation sorting crushed rock years ago. The firebox
area is now done and I'll add some small stones to the middle and gravel
the rest. The link for that should be
http://public.fotki.com/GindaUP/navarres_hobagama/rbs.html (hit next)
After the rain came I shot off the roll and tryed to get the color in
the greenish rocks I'm finding but for some reason it ain't easy. They
sort of show up in http://public.fotki.com/GindaUP/glzrks/ I'm thinking I
need to either get a macro lense for my Pentax K1000 or the Kodak 6 pixle
on rollback at Wally's with it's manual settings including a macro
setting. Oh well, atleast Tager has her new steps. Interestingly, you now
have to take 4 steps to come into my cabin and when you leave you've taken
5. Don't let that scare ya, I won't tell. Stay in there!
