Hi Kathleen, Cindy, and all:

There was a wonderful bunch of pots by Linda Christianson in Berkeley
in the '70's decorated with cut pieces of commercial decals
juxtaposed into a collage-like design. Showed anybody who looked
that decals, like other techniques (molds come to mind and their
horrible rep) can be used in a new and exciting way by someone
willing to look past the common thinking.

Kathleen, here are snips in my clayart files that might help you.

(Art Decal in Long Beach, KLM in Denver

or all of those who are (still) interested in having custom decals made, I
found a company on the internet that specializes in small quantities; their
minimum is one. The owner is Ray and he is wonderful about trying to answer
all of your questions. The address is http://www.mcn.net/~heavenlyart/ and
their phone number is 1-800-359-4085.

Try Heavenly Artworks, 2324 7th Ave. S, Great Falls, MT, 59405. Phone
1-800-359-4085. E-mail heavenlyart@mcn.net. I have not used them
personally but I've passed their name on to several friends who have
and have been satisfied with them. Several yers ago when I was
checking out decals, they had the lowest prices I could find.

Good luck.
