Noticed a fascinating old pitcher at a neighbor's home this evening. It
is an old little pitcher with faux green bricks on the belly and old
English script at the neck about canonizing St. Jim Crow. The straight
area above has a painting of monks, candles, etc. Appears to be hand
painted.

Has anyone seen anything like this before? My curiosity is aroused.

Maybe it was Leroy "Satchel" Paige???

At age 59, he took the mound for the last time, throwing three
shutout innings for the Kansas City Athletics. Doesn't get much
older than that! Although who know when Rocket will retire.

Satchel is also the author of some of my words-to-live-by collection:

"Age is a question of mind over matter.
If you don't mind, it don't matter."
