I know of no commercial supplier of burner stands, but it is pretty easy to
make your own. You may have to get someone to do some simple steel
fabricating, but the main part you will use is an ordinary muffler clamp,
available from any auto parts store - one clamp for each burner. Measure
the diameter of the burner tube at an appropriate point where you want to
mount the burner, and get appropriate diameter muffler clamps. These clamps
have two parts - a U-shaped yoke with threaded ends, and a piece that the
yoke fits through, with bolts to tighten the yoke. The latter piece has a
flat surface, and it is a simple matter to drill appropriate holes in a
piece of flatbar or angle iron to fit the yoke, so the same bolts fasten the
clamp to the mounting bracket. Muffler clamps are very inexpensive, so take
the measurements, go buy an appropriate number of clamps, and then get
someone to help you figure out a simple steel bracket to support the muffler
clamps and burners. I know this sounds vague, but it really is not a
difficult project.
Good luck -

I use racheting jackstands that you can get from Harbor Freight or any auto parts place like Auto Zone. I attach the burner assemblies to the jackstands with hose clamps.

Assuming you're writing about a small updraft kiln - angle iron. Not
too expensive, strong, can make an open square stand. Look for a
local welder to cut and assemble your plan.

Mark and all:
Don't use wire, use automotive hose clamps. They tighten better,
and there's no way they can loosen without a screwdriver. They also
hold up to heat better, being stainless steel.

Gail Phillips came up with that idea for her kiln. She might even
still have pictures (if you ask nicely )

Best,

Although I prefer to have the burners anchored to the kiln, the suggestion
of automotive jackstands by Gail Phillips and Mark Issenberg is a good one.
If I were going to use them, I would have a welder affix a strip of flat bar
on top, and then I would bolt automotive muffler clamps to that, so that the
burners were very securely attached to the stands. If you carefully figure
your burner spacing, you could use a single longer piece of flat bar welded
across both jackstands, attaching them together in a single unit, which
would do a better job of keeping them aligned.

Also, Gail referred to the rachet-type stands, and these are usually cast
steel. There are also fabricated iron jackstands that usually have a
removable pin for adjusting the height, and those would work fine and are
probably less expensive.

I still worry about a burner that is not attached to the kiln. If you do
not have a steel frame around your kiln, I would bolt them down to the
concrete slab. If you do have a steel frame on your kiln, it would be a
simple matter to bolt or weld a piece of angle iron across the side of the
kiln where the burner ports are located, spaced a few inches out from the
surface just below the ports, and then use the muffler clamps to bolt the
burner tubes to this angle iron, with the U-bolts pointing downwards. This
is the simplest and most effective system for mounting buners.
Good luck -
