Sebastiao Salgado was fascinating, if less pragmatic. The article describes how
Salgado looks with great focus and intensity to perceive form and relationships
in the settings that he photographs. It was exciting to think about the analog
for understanding forms in clay - both what we see in our mind's eye and what
we view in the world.
