When i was walking around the vendors at NCECA i met Virginia Scothchie,,
She is at Univ of South Carolina.. They had a table ... She is head of the
Ceramic Studio. Anyway, i bought the Clay and Glaze Compendium 2005 that was for
sale. Well, ive sorta been looking at it between buying stuff for the new
house, loading bisques and working on a new old tractor.

It is LOADED with 211 pages of recipes.. No one person could ever try them
all.. I cant wait to try at least 500 of them..

Hope a few of you got the Compendium,,what a treat,, there are pages of Ash
Glazes recipes that i want to try,, cant wait

Also: the wild flowers are going wild ,, Nona and i went to the Pocket 20
minutes away with 2 friends that lead wild flower walks the other day.. They
lead 20 people around most trips.. They were scouting out the area.. Nona and i
got the private walk ,, wow.. they new all the names and they even had all
the books and even knew where to look the names up in the books.
At the top of the Pocket there is a waterfall,, really nice. Further up
there is a stream that comes right out a rock.. There is a small pool with
crawdads and salamaders,, There was lots of Watercress there also.. I ate a bunch,,
we were all laughing because maybe i was starting a new thing, Marks Spring
Purge,, Any way no problems cant wait to go back and eat more..

Hope to see a bunch of you at the Appalachian Center for Crafts next
weekend,,
