an idea for new orleans nceca

updated tue 22 mar 05

after a long day at nceca we all sit in our rooms talking about what we did and learned. diane karmoil and mayssan shara farra were my roomates. while talking diane came up with a wonderful idea and i thought i would see what other clayarters thought of her idea. with all the gallery shows at nceca why doesnt clayart have a gallery show? we have so much talent in this group. i think that its time for other potters to see just what we have in this group. diane suggested that we find a gallery to sponsor us for a show. if everyone likes this idea i could check out the galleries and see if we could find a space. i will be traveling there in may so this could be a great thing for me to be able to do to contribute. i know that new orleans is a ways off but we would have to start planning now to get a space and pull it off.. give me your thoughts clayarters! can we do this and do you want this..

Anyone can apply to host an exhibition at NCECA. There are
requirements and deadlines that can be found on the website. It's not
a difficult procedure - we put in an exhibition proposal for NCECA 2006
for Slipcast II. It's a matter of filling out a form and sending some
images...

You try and propose a show at the New Orleans Comtemporary Museum, on Camp Street?

Billie,

I think it would be simply great. As you say, there is so much talent in the
Clayart group. It was great seeing you.
