At first I was appalled about this mis-use of the Empty Bowl name, but after seeing that the name is Soup Bowl Supper and IF the people who attend know ahead of time what the charity is, then I feel it's probably acceptable. However, for myself, being an Empty Bowl volunteer for 5 years when living in Anchorage,AK, I would feel MUCH better about donating my bowls to an ACTUAL "empty bowl" event that benefits HUNGRY/Homeless people!! So, now I am in Colorado, so anyone doing an Empty Bowl here let me know and I will donate some bowls!!
