I think Empty Bowls should continue to serve the purpose for which it began, to feed the less fortunate. If they want to do a fundraiser for another worthy cause, like we do here in Michigan, they should donate pieces of any type (ie, urns, platters, jars, ect.) and have an auction to benefit that cause. Potters are generous and loving people, we donate to all types of causes. But bowls, as I worked at two separate missions as a young woman, should go to feed the stomaches and souls of those who sometimes feel they are forgotten and unloved. It touches their spirit and souls.
