Clayart tool makers

In addition to the wonderful Bison tools that Phil Poburka makes (email: =
pdp1@earthlink.net), we have other Clayartists that make some fine =
tools. =20

I would recommend two in particular. First is Hank Murrow. I have =
misplaced his website address, but you can reach him via email: =
hmurrow@efn.org. My favorite Hank took is his twisted wire faceting =
tool, great for tea bowls. Hank also makes a number of other unusual, =
but practical tools.

Another tool maker is Chris Henely (www.hominid.net/toolpage2.htm). =
Chris makes a large variety of metal tools and wooden tools. Under his =
section on wooden tools you will not find his two ended "egote" or =
throwing stick. It is shaped like an attenuated "S" with a rounded =
shoulder support on each end. The ends are so slender that, after =
giving interior support to the pot's shoulder, the tool can slip out =
through the smallest opening. Though this particular throwing stick is =
not shown on his website, I would be happy to send you off list a photo =
attachment of the most recent one that I ordered from Chris.
