wholesale payment by credit card

You may not be able to add a surcharge, but you can offer a discount for
cash/check, and you can make it clear that your usual wholesale discount
takes that factor into account. Ergo, if they pay by credit card they get
a lower discount. I think that would be legal.

If any one is vexing oh how it costs you to accept a credit
card payment for wholesale or other large orders...and
knowing you may nor increase the price of these items for
Credit Card purchase occasions...

Simply invent an Administrative fee of some kind, a Clerical
Processing addenda or something...applicible to those
contingencies.

No 'law' against that.

That is what your 'bank', 'phone company', 'powercompany',
'mortgage holder', 'courts or judicialsystems, or scores of
others do, everyday, say, anytime they like, about anything
they like...

Just a thought...

This must be a sign of the times!

One of my largest wholesale accounts paid by VISA for his last order. This
enabled them to pay COD instead of net 30, which turned out to be net 130!!! on
their last order.

I took it and ate the percentage but let them know this was a one-time
courtesy, next time there will be a surcharge for this type of payment.

It seems they are in a cash-flow crunch and needed credit to re-stock.

Not a good "sign" but these aren't good "times!"

You better check in your charge card contract whether you can add a
surcharge. Most companies don't allow it. Bummer.
