Jen,

Mayco Stroke and Coat is NOT a glossy glaze. They are matte when fired. =
You must use a clear gloss glaze over them after they are fired. I think =
that people are responding to your question as if they are just "Mayco" =
glazes, glossy or matte, bisque or greenware. You can use one coat for =
transparent coverage or three coats for opaque. In my experience, I =
don't like the results when I use them on greenware, but that is my =
preference. Like everything else, just experiment. Try some on a test =
piece of greenware and see what happens. As far as waxing and stilting, =
it's not necessary since they are non moving glazes.

I will send you a copy of Mayco's catalog page that has a little bit of =
info. on Stroke and Coat!
