Upon returning home from Mendocino, I found my packet of CDs from Ceramic
Monthly for the years 1953-1979. Can't tell you how much I'm enjoying
looking at these back issues. Since I've been scanning issues from 1975 to
the present for my personal use, I now have CMs for the past 50 years on my
computer. In some respects I prefer my scanned versions; however they
definitely take more disc space unless converted from a PDF to Word which
requires some editing.

While some might find reading on a computer less than satisfying, I enjoy
being able to look at back articles when I travel and in-bed at night before
I go to sleep [I have a 3 lb table PC that I can place on my lap and read
with the lights off so as not to disturb my wife]. I was just looking at the
very first issue of CM published in 1953 - really neat. As an aside Clay
Times is also going digital and I ordered issues on CD from 95-99 yesterday.

Sorry I missed the bowl exchange at Mendocino. I had a plane out of SF on
Sunday morning and because I have some night blindness I didn't feel safe
driving the winding Hwy 128 in the dark. I left about 3 pm and had a lovely
trip back and yes I read some of my scanned CMs on the plane back to
Orlando. Nice meeting new faces.
