last week Nona and i flew to Orlando to spend Thanksgiving with family,,
Friday i called Steve Jepson so say "Howdy",, also i wanted to say thanks for
selling me his bat system.. Steve stayed with me in Miami when he did the South
Miami Show,, years ago,,He had brought me his plastic ring and 3 of his big
bats,, I used to flip them upside down ,, the bat is 25 lbs and the platter was
18 to 24 lbs,, heavy, heavy,, now i just let the platter sit till it releases,,
at that point i just lift it up and flip it on another bat for trimming , of
course using my Bison trimming tool..
A few years ago i bought 5 more bats from Steve,, I really love making big
bowls and platters using Steve Jepsons system

That Friday we went to see Axners,, It was 18 miles from my sisters place in
Mailand.. Got to see Howard Axner and T. showed us around the place.. They
sure have neat stuff. Some some really nice electric kilns in the show room..
Also if you go there have lots of time to look at all the books, lots of books..

Saturday we went to Winter Park before our flight,, Looking for hand made
pottery.. saw some ,,saw much more glass than pottery.. whats that all about????

Mark back on Lookout Mountain, getting ready for 2 shows,, one here Dec 11 &
12 , plus a kiln opening , info on my website
