Hello,

I have posted a picture online of a kiln I saw on my recent trip to
Turkey. This kiln is woodfired and the origin of the design is
ancient Rome.
The kilns in the village of Kinik, Turkey are fired to earthenware
temps, for bisque and glaze. The ware can have a lot of slip work on
it or it can be plain.

Have a look. I hope to get the time to post a few more pictures on

Hello Rick; What type of wood do they use to fire it? Is wood abundant
there?
