asbestos gloves not kevlar..zetex

hey vince.. hello. yes i am listening.. are you? i already mentioned to you
directly in at least 2 emails that i am looking for an alternative. perhaps
you should read my email to logan again with that in mind before you start
at me again.

i had gone to the ward web site over the weekend and saw the info re the
zetex and zetexplus gloves and mitts. the zetex plus gloves are apparently
rated for around 2000 F and cost $110 for a pair. anyhow i emailed marc
ward on saturday or sunday and got an answer yesterday. he had said that
they work almost as well as asbestos gloves the drawback being they wear out
faster.
the zetex plus mitts are cheaper (i think they're around 58 or something, so
i asked what the diff was and he said they were shorter and unlined and
meant to provide some "mechanical wear protection".

Is there anyone on the list who has tried this new fiber? i realize there
are not a whole lot of alternatives at this point, but i would still like to
hear peoples' feedback. i am trying to catch up on my posts here, so if you
have answered my question in an email, bear with me.

Thanks..anne
