I have to second the remarks on Peter King and Xinia Marin.
Peter gives 110 % in his week long Architectural Ceramics Workshop. He
is a dynamo both in the making and the giving. He holds nothing back
in technique and information.

We had him and Xinia here for a week in 1999 at the Nottingham Center,
and they both worked very hard on the projects and giving students
everything they could give.

Peter will give and produce as much as your studio and students can
handle. He's an all out sort of guy.

When he and Xinia were here, we had four ceramics lab tech.s and five
MFA ceramics students along with the regular workshop attendees. We also
had three artist in residence ceramists and a full work crew.

We completed five days work in three and Peter amazed until I told
him what the crew was made up from.
He asked what we could do for the last two days and I asked for a huge
architectural door surround. This was designed by all the workshop
folks as a group project.

We went for it and completed a large sculptural door surround in two
days. This work is mounted in our main studio and always amazes
those who see it.

What I am saying is that Peter will rise to whatever you offer in
the students and staff. He will rise to whatever you offer.
Give him a great support group and a great workshop group, and he
will fulfill your wildest dream. He is just a dynamo sort of guy.

If you get Xinia along with him you will be awarded with another
great ceramic artist. She gave some wonderful slide presentations of her
own work. Much different than Peters.

My only caveat is to arrange the workshop payment coupled with the sign
ups. I will discuss this issue off line with anyone who responds from
an art center wishing to have him do a workshop.
