When I rebuilt an old 20 cu.ft. Alpine updraft, I left the old burner
system intact. A ring pilot system with individual pilots for each
burner, 8 of them. If I had it to do over again, I'd switch it over to
a 2 burner, forced draft, with the small fans. I fired this kind at
Calif. College of Arts & Crafts , when they still had enough sense to
include "Crafts" in their name, and loved them. Mike Gordon
