I wrote that note to list/RR to clarify what I had written off list to Jiri.

You are correct - it only happened in the trimmed area inside the footring.

Change in absorption the explanation ? Another qualifier is that these mugs
have a celedon liner glaze and the batch of shino was getting old (nearly a
year). I have had it crawl/bead in that area but never the separation of
the two glaze coatings. MarjB
