simple lo-fire clay body recipe??

Hi all,

I need to mix up about 10lb of a low fire body for a special order and it
seems to me that the last time I did this, someone on Clayart had posted a
very simple recipe, with about 3 ingredients such as talc, epk, perhaps
feldspar and/or ball clay. I guess I didn't copy the recipe into my book,
because it was "right there", and now I can't find it in the "inbox" Guess
I'm not as organized as I like to think I am.

If this recipe sounds familiar, I'd appreciate a reminder as to what it
was...thanks

Ann Brink in Lompoc CA.... The reason I need this is...years ago a woman
bought a large platter made of local earthenware, and it recently broke so
she wants it replaced. Well, I'm not using the earthenware anymore, and
anyhow had used a layer of white slip on the interior as a good background
for the brushed on leaves, etc., so now, why not just use a low fire clay?
I already tried makiing 2 in stoneware, but did not get the same soft
colors- mostly the copper turned green instead of staying "aqua". She
bought them both (smiles) but still wants me to try to duplicate the
platter. And guess where she uses it...on a stand on the bathroom counter.
so you never know when a customer will regard your functional piece as art!
