penland school winter rental program

Penland School of Crafts is now accepting applications for rental of many
of the school=A1=A6s studios during January and February 2005. Renters must=

have been to Penland as student or instructor, or must send contact
information for three references with the application. Renters must be
qualified to work independently and safely. Limited space is available.
Qualified applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served
basis. To receive application information, please e-mail
staceylane@penland.org. Decisions will be made regarding which studios
will be open in November, 2004. Limited housing is available on campus
for an additional $250/month per person.

Studio rental rates are as follows:

Clay, Iron, Books and Paper, Print, Photo, Wood, Metals, Flameworking,
Textiles
=83=E6 $100 deposit required for all renters
=83=E6 $250/month if renting both January and February
=83=E6 $300/month if renting one month only
=83=E6 Rental by the day is $50/day
Hot Glass
=83=E6 $100 deposit required for all renters, returned when studio clean-
up is completed
=83=E6 Full payment due in advance of rental
=83=E6 Hot shop - $210/day per bench* (includes access to cold shop and
most annealers that day)
=83=E6 Cold shop - $50/day
=83=E6 Annealers - $50/day if not renting hot shop
*(This price may vary based on planned usage. Studio Monitor will work
with renters in advance
to confirm rate.)
