Hi Jonathan,
Tis me, Susan!!!
I have a merchant account with a company, called
Arts & Craft Business solutions....or TEAMAC
that can beat any of that, and they are GREAT to work with.
They were started by an artist, Sharon Teaman, and her partner,'
Guy MacDonald, so they really offer great deals to artists, I have had my
merchant account, Master /Visa with them for a year, because I am saving so much
First they charge $7.50 a mo to process the acct and mail me monthly
statements.
Then I am paying percentage about 2.1---which is really good! I negotiated
my discover card, with discover card co, separately, at 1.79 rate. Of course
these rates will vary according to the price of your average sale and your
volume throughout the year. My start up rate was $125.
If I key in the transaction on the machine in my studio, after the show,
and have the zip code....it is the same. No zip code a small 25cent fee per
no zip transaction.
My business is about 65-75% charge...very few people come to me with checks
or cash, and I even take it for wholesale orders.
At a show , I can get approval on large sales on my cell phone, as I decided
not to get a high priced cell/trasaction machine to carry with me. I always
get my customers phone numbers/e-mail.....so This never been a problem.
You can contact them for further info and some great rates at:
1 888 832-6221 (they are located in Pa)
Best of luck,
Susan
