Tony, Crew,
Went down to Peter's the other day to catch a break and see if the
"world according to Peter" had changed any. I was fairly excited to tell
him the progress I made with this technology and he said "Anybody who
has to spend their time on the INTERNET just isn't gettin the job done!"
"But, Peter" I protested, "you oughta see all I'm learning!" He retorted
"Learning my ass, you're supposed to be teachin!" I'm glad he didn't
emphasis the point by slamming his huge fist on the table. Teach? Me?
Now I got a lot more to learn and a way to do it. Besides, what
authorizes me to teach what with academic dismissal from three
universities. And the social skills? The reason Peter and I get along is
we have the same level of lack. Might just be the way our planets are
lined up or something.
I did manage to get some kiln building work done in spite of the weard
time consuming 'puter stuff Joyce mentioned. But that's another story.
Keep going!

Dear Garry Navarre,
Teaching is a natural attribute associated with the Natural History of
Homo sap...... .
When I objected to taking on language teaching because I was
incompetent, having failed in foreign language at high school, I was
told I was qualified. Though I failed the final exams, it seemed
completion of the course gave me the right to teach the subject.

Hi Gary,

This seems to be pretty common amoung potters who teach - hardly ever see
them at workshops. You would think everything would be better if the
teachers spent at least some of their time learning?
