The soluable salts wick or follow
The evaporation of water from the
Bisque ware....moving through the
Wall to the surface
Of the pot...
By placing wax on a glaze you are
Directing the ability of the water
To evaporate around the wax...where it
Also accumulates developing a halo....

I have no clue how the process of
Bisque firing the glaze has an affect...
Interesting ideas tho.....
