interesting site for early potters' work

Had a delightful couple of hours looking at this site. I was skimming the
Internet searching my links so that I could upgrade my web address and came
across this one. There are some gorgeous glazes on Rose Cabat's pieces as
well as many of the old timer's work. This is an auction catalog from 2001
so the prices were also added for each item. Saw a Rudy Staffel name for
three pieces and when opening, there was my work from the 70's. No. 141 for
those who might be interested. Question is, was the price offered because
they said it was Rudy's?

Anyway, there was a lot of work shown, including Peter Voulkos, Paul
Soldner, John Glick, Beatrice Wood, Grotell, Schrier, Natzler, etc.
Included was work of famous woodworkers and sculptors, glass workers, as
well. For fans of that era, it is eye candy.

Enjoy as these are the shoulders you are standing on.

Hi Bonnie,

This was fun, interesting, and informative variously...thank
you...!

At-a-glance, and no doubt missing some of the entries...

My own several favorites...are...

... anything by Beatrice Wood...

No. 240, the 'deco-armchairs'...

No. 203 - utter ('cubist') genius...from...the 'Consolidated
Glass Company'...wow...good for them...

And various, curious Pots of "Natzler" of whom I know
nothing, but
that it seems he-she-they were doing some versatile,
interesting and very intentional Work...

There are others but I forgot I was making notes and the
list is so long and all...

Mosty, the post-war era depresses me, so far as the Arts and
Crafts I mean ( as well as almost everything else) and some
of the items on the list of course are pre-war, or, even
quite recent as well...quite a fun and interesting
tour...overall, inspireing for me...

Again, thanks for the mention of it for our enjoyments...

Yours,

Phil
