Natilie, If it is NOT going to be stepped on - that is a wall tile.

You might try a hydrofluoric etch cream. Be very careful not to get any on
your skin. Wear rubber gloves.

Sandblast it, or apply one of the various
acids sold to glass-etching hobbyists.
