Erin, the model number is located on the electrical data plate. LT3-K is the Kiln Sitter with Limit Timer model. Many people call kiln manufacturers mistakenly thinking the kiln is model LT3K. (The Kiln Sitter is an accessory.)

Things to look for in a used kiln:

What is the condition of the firebricks? Examine closely the lid and kiln bottom. Look for cracks around the lid hinge.

Is the kiln rusted? Are screws falling out?

Do all the elements work?

You can tell at a glance--even if you have never been around kilns--if the kiln was cared for. One of the Paragon employees owns a 10-year-old Paragon digital kiln. She keeps it in her garage. It looks almost new inside the firing chamber. The only brick damage is a small chip on the outside of the lid. That was caused by the employee's husband using the kiln as a sawhorse when he cut a piece of wood! She fires the kiln regularly.

You can tell at a glance that she cares for her kiln lovingly.

Sincerely,

Arnold Howard

LT/3K is the model # of the kiln sitter, not the kiln. The real model#
will be a ks818 or ks1027 or such. Examine the bricks- are they in good
condition? Everything else is repairable.

Give me call i will let you know the value of the kiln.
