Hi All -=20

A friend of mine wanted to put a pink stain which was made up of B-mix =
terra sig with frit over a WSO body. Over this she put a pop-off glaze =
through which she did some scraffito. The item was raku fired to 1500 =
degrees. When cooled, and the pop-off popped off, the pink had been =
completely burned off.

Is there a way of doing this process and being able to retain the pink? =
Any help will be appreciated.

Les I have used Mason#(?) pink in raku on a slipcast piece with some
success. It was some years ago, but I believe I used a tin based version of
the Mason stain I speak of. It was not a bright or clear result, partly
because of the reduction process, but interesting all the same. The clay
body was a white porcelain slipcast so using a white surface was a definite
key to the success of the stain.
