John,
It sounds like it might be a blackbird/barnard slip base. Danny
Meisinger was in here yesterday talking about a similar sounding glaze
he uses that consists of 1/2 barnard. His description was that it was a
gorgeous "gun metal" Who was the artist of the pieces you saw?

Hi Cindy,
Like a dunce, I failed to remember the potters name. The work is in the
SilverWorks Gallery and is to the left side as you walk in.
Your barnard and whatever suggestion sounds plausible.
Thanks,
John

I called Silverworks and asked. The artist is Eric Jensen (sp?), whom I
unfortunately don't really know, but I thought some other Clayarters
might know him and have a better idea of what the "Teflon" is?
I can give you Danny Meisinger's contact info if you would be interested
in talking to him about his "gun-metal."

Hi Cindy,
Thanks for your efforts on this. Sure, give me contact info. for Danny
M. I am embarking on some new forms, and this approach would fit with it
very nicely.
