Eleanor Arkowitz wrote about protecting the thermocouple from contacting =
the steel jacket.
We recently converted a single zone control kiln to a 3 zone and =
Tucker's in Toronto sent us thermocouple blocks that attach to the =
stainless steel kiln shell so that the thermocouple will be safe from =
contacting the shell. Originally they gave us a smaller T/C block that =
didn't fasten top anything but we didn't like that, so they replaced =
them, no charge. The possible disadvantage of this is that some people =
may prefer to be able to push the thermocouple back while loading or =
unloading to protect them from being banged about by the kiln shelves - =
We just have to be careful.
