NO NO NO, DON'T DO IT!!
Have you ever stoked a real dragon like the Tozan?
We throw in two foot long chunks of wood 4 or 5 inches in diameter
and at cone 10 they virtually explode before the wood hits the grate.
You have about five seconds to get the door closed before pressure
builds up and fire comes out of every crack and port in the kiln.
I am afraid the bags would burn off in milliseconds and the whole
contents would fly out and ??? Big whooosh !!!
Another thing there is a lot of Kaolin in some kinds of paper and
that would be flying around the kiln. A while ago I got some ash from
my airtight wood stove that came from slick paper Christmas catalogs
like Sharper Image. I tried the ash mixed with water as a glaze with
no added ingredients and it made a light tan colored glaze with
mottled effect at cone 10 - sort of Matte and rough. Not very
interesting.

Hi Fred,

Ohhhh...I was thinking in terms of feeding an earlier
heat...

You are right...at hi-heat, them bags of 'dust' would be
about as them poor Birds were...when within a few miles of
an above-ground nuclear blast...

Not so good...
