Re Kaowool Paper.

Thermal Ceramics who make/made Kaowool produce a body-soluble version of
Ceramic Fibre blanket in various thicknesses, as well as loose fill and
paper in 1mm and 2mm, all rated to at least 1260oC (2300oF). This is a
Calcium-Magnesium Silicate material and is known as Superwool Max 607

Old fashioned Alumina-Silica Fibre is still available but is now classed
in the UK as a grade 2 Carcinogen. I'm not sure about its classification
anywhere else.
