I know I wrote you about your work months
ago. I appreciate your post about the
Butterfield angle and
about horses and "Nilsie". He'll never live that
one down!

It's liberating also....... you know I had thought
of creating horses or burros, or both, with
pots as parts of the bodies. We talked about
that before...... but I felt it would really look
like I was plagiarizing (?) your work...... I
wish...... I love line drawings... the only kind
I can do..... and had thought of and made a
few pots with "nags" lumpy sheep, and odd
owls (cliche, truly) but again I didn't want
to look as if I was trying to copy you. Again,
I wish.

Same thing with petroglyphs. My mentor puts
petroglyphs on her pots (we have a lot of
them around here) ..... and I didn't want to seem
to be copying her work..... though I've embroidered
and painted petroglyphs (man's first original line
drawings!) on some of my clothes since moving
here 30 years ago.... as do others.

I think I'm a nut case..... and paranoid at least.

Take care. It was good to hear your voice.
