bluebird pugmill vacuum pump problem ( one possibility)

Hi Maurice,

If the Vacuum-Pump Motor runs, and you find there is less
vacuum than there should be...

And if it is of the 'diaphram' type...it is a pretty simple
affair I would think.

Diaphram, some simple flapper or reed-valves...lines...

If you can semi-dismantle and inspect, maybe some lite
cleaning would do it.

If some of these parts ( as the diaphram maybe, or a
reed-valve) have gone sour, likely they could be replaced
cheaply enough...

If there is a Manufacturer's tag on the unit, you can locate
them and ask them that a 'Parts List' be sent you in the
Mail...then you have the right names and part numbers for
locating or ordering.

I have had Companys send me small parts for free sometimes
when I was rebuilding something they made. Some will gouge
you, some will be easy. Too, if they are being tiresome, you
can obtain a list of their distributors, and, call different
ones and see who has a rebuild 'kit' or common parts, and
sometimes they will be nice in their way as well, especially
now-a-days if something is not 'in' the Computer inventory,
from age or omission...so make sure to have them look with
their 'eyes' on that dusty back room shelf, if you go this
route...
