Dear John,
I've started reading and viewing your presentation.
One point comes is the way people have been analysing the need for
knowing Specific Gravity so that they can get the "right thickness"
and now you start to tell about glazes layered up to 3/4 thick.
I suspect a lot of folk who read this will be going back to the
drawing board.
Great work, Well done.
Best regards,
Ivor Lewis. Redhill, South Australia

Hello Ivor: How does one find John's presentation. I think there are
many on the list that would like to read it. After your rave, it seems
like a must read!!

Hi Lee,

No, though I guess I could have if I'd had it available. I used
PageMaker for the 'word slides', but I suppose you could do the same on
any decent page layout program. Then Adobe 'Go Live' to put the web
pages together.

Hi Lee,

I had slides made. $3.00 each from a place in Atlanta called Imagers.

Dear Craig,
John posted the URL in the message where he described what he had done
and why. I think it is extra pages in his frogpondpottery web pages.
Cobber, you're in luck. I had not deleted his post so look for
http://www.frogpondpottery.com/nceca2004/p01.html
John gave one of my summer school teachers, Greg Daly, a great rap.
John spoke highly of his book. That text was based on the summer
school experience. In 1991 28 attandees created over ten thousand
glaze samples in four days. Then we got on to exploiting our riches.
Find the page and have fun. Simple and obvious rules once you have
thought them out but impossible to comprehend if you are unwilling to
go outside the square.

Thanks John. Did you have slides made or did you project from a
computer?

I might attend a wood fire conference here in Japan (if they'll have
me ;-) ) and have been thinking about how I might do a presentation.

Thanks,
