Hi all,
Not to go over the financial deep end in just starting in the pottery =
field.

Of course there is the ole "you get what you pay for" in most things we =
buy.

Could you suggest the better features to look for in a small kiln?

By the specs I've been reading they all seem good and capable.

In all that I've read on the topic of clay, I would like to work in =
stoneware paper clay, and to fire at and up to ^10 easily.

=20

Paper clay sounds to be my cup of tea for the fact that if you get =
tired, you can leave it and come back another day with wet on dry and =
keep on building.

I want to hand build everything I have in mind to build.

I have Rumatoid Arthritis so throwing clay is out . Haven't tried it and =
I'm not going to take a chance on the strain on my joints.

The thought of hand working clay might be good therapy for the hands, =
but yet to be determined.

So far this is what I think I need in kiln features....

Top load

Inside Dim..... 2 foot square or smaller

220 volts....power =3D more heat

3" brick

Elements.......easy to change & long lasting

Auto control.......Bartlett or ???

Kiln vent.....Brand ?

Did I miss anything?

Thanks for any advice,
