I can imagine in a future "Jetson" time period there will be some =
interesting stuff going on in the field of ceramics. I have just =
ordered some rare earth elements to do test glazes with (cerium and =
neodymium), Fara's test tiles with rare earth are gorgeous but until I =
become queen of the firing schedule (chrystalline) , I am just going to =
go the Ohr way of the ceramic approach and seek after my own visual =
pleasure.

Hello Amy: good luck on seeking after your own visual pleasure. :O) It
will probably be much more fun than my experience with cerium. I worked
on a project to develope a refactory body that could be used to slump
some specialty glass. I used cerium as a base for a size for the molds.
Gratifying to the pocketbook but not a real "visual pleasure".
Go for it. I would love to see something a little more visually
gratifying with cerium!
Cheers
