Hi Lorene,
I think you have a very valid point. How-To photos should be taken from as
near to the potter's view as possible. Sometimes when a student has a
particularly difficult time with a technique, I find it best if she stands
besides me and observes from that angle.

And furthermore, videos would be much more useful if taken from that view
too, or as close a possible to it. I stopped buying instructional pottery
videos because I became totally fed up with distant cameras and lousy angles
and more views of the potter than the work. I don't even want to see the
potter - only the hands. Fat chance of that happening.

Sounds like you are staying several steps ahead of your students. Keep
moving ;-)
