Hi, all. I have searched the archives and only find one book referencing
pictures of Lucy Rie's bowls. It's called Craft and the Artof Clay. Can
anyone suggest other books with pictures of her work. Ideally I'm looking
for a book only about Lucy Rie.

Thanks in advance,

Don

Dear Don Rank,
Look for Magrie, V and Houston, John, "Lucie Rie". Craft council ISBN
0-903798-56-5.
I think this is the definitive and comprehensive text with very good
illustrations. You might inquire about the set of stamps which feature
her works as well.
Best regards,
Ivor Lewis. Redhill, South Australia

Don-
Tony Birks' book "Lucie Rie" , ISBN 0 9517700 71, is wonderful.
Also out of print, but used copies are around.

about twelve years ago.

Birks' Hans Coper book is also great.

Hi, Don,

At the NCECA 2003, I bought a Lucie Rie book: "Lucie Rie: The Life and Work
of Lucie Rie, 1902-1995," edited by Emmanuel Cooper. Ceramic Review
Publishing Ltd., London, 2002. The books includes 10 essays by different
authors on a variety of aspects of Rie's life and work. It also presents a
great number of color photographs of Rie's work.

I suspect that it is still available.

There is a book called "Lucie Rie" by Lane,
don't remember the publisher, there is a lot of
information about her, and a multitude of images
of her work.

Call the Potter's Shop in MA, or look on line, maybe
Amazon.

regards

The UK version of Amazon lists it, dispatched within 2 or 3 days, so
almost certainly in print.
