Dear Diane

Trine emphasizes her inspiration from nature. The photos of lichen, moss,
ice crystals, barnacles, chipping paint, barks, etc. show how she duplicates
these natural patterns in her work. She works in an array of materials
including textiles and glass. She appreciates the play between malleable
clay which has a long process, textiles which are soft and show results of
her craft quickly and glass, which is stiff.

Her "skøre" kugler (balls), the vessels, is a glaze project she completed,
where she incorporates a play on the Danish word .
Skør has definitions as
porous, fragile, crisp and weak the pots are low fired and therefore
are some porous, etc.
foolish, happy and silly the forms have swing in them
and therefore reflect the other descriptions.
Thick headed and crazy.

The vessels are fired between 950c 1100 in Raku and electric, depending on
the effect she wishes to develop.

Fascinating work.
