Regarding the thread on cleaning green ware/ clay dust/allergies - if
you have allergies or other respiratory issues, clay dust will cause
more problems. How to alleviate the problem - keep everything clean
and do all cleaning as wet clean-up. Everything, all the time! A dust
mask will not stop fine silica.
Do everything possible to prevent the creation of dust. Never sand
dry clay. Mop your studio floor every day.

Another issue - had student a while back who was allergic to molds.
Mostly had problems during trimming (pots that were under plastic for
a while, mold development). Had her where dust mask when she trimmed
- seemed to help. Perhaps folks that have mold allergies should be
careful about mold formation on clay.

Found out Sculpture House produced clays that they added "stuff" to
their clay to stop mold growth. Had some students develop skin rashes
with this clay, from what ever was put in the clay to stop the mold.
