Sources of wood ash:

You talk to friends with stoves or country places.

You go to an OLD pizzaria that still uses a wood burning stove.

You go to some place that has barbeques or similar and cook over wood or =
charcoal.

You talk to the guys who clean up wood in the park and ask what happens =
to the wood. Do they burn any?

You make nice to a woodworker and ask for saw dust.
You ask if he can burn you about a 5 gallon pail full. At least around =
here many woodworkers heat their workshops with, guess what, wood.

You go down to Greenwich House and find out where they get woodash....
