I have only just developed a low fire 950 c. chrome glaze that initially
showed promise, giving breaking green-yellow-red combinations in an
oxidation electric kiln firing. However, after mixing the glaze and letting
stand for a week or so the results completely change when glazing pots with
the same glaze....for the worse.
Can anyone tell me if any of the following materials change their ability
to perform when let stand in a glaze mix with water for a period of
time .................Thanks.. Glenn Minards

Lithium carb 70
GF-501 frit high lead 20
silica 10
kaolin 10
pure bone ash 15
chrome oxide 1.5

I've only copied&pasted the material that's the problem - 70% of the
glaze is lithium - that's your problem - a soluble material.
