Hi Charles,
Thanks for your opinion. Since I'm new to this web stuff & naturally want to have the best web site I can to show my pottery, I apreciate all the input I can get. I had no idea so many people felt this way. thanks for helping me not look like a shlemiel !

I suppose it would be fine on a site promoting a band...but definitely not for pottery. I urge you to reconsider. Just because you CAN put a thing on a website doesn't mean you should!

Respectfully,

If you want to share a tune, make a link to it. If people choose to
listen, they can click.

Though I love your taste in music (you were the one who liked AC/DC, right?)
I have to agree that music on websites can be annoying. I usually am playing
my own music on the PC anytime I'm surfing or emailing & when there's music
on websites, that starts up too (don't ask me how that works), I end up with a
combination of Aerosmith & some lullaby at the same time outta the same
speakers.

Also, and perhaps more importantly, you & I may love AC/DC, but your
potential customer may be more a Vivaldi & Mozart type person. You run the risk of
turning off potential clients solely based on the music, before they ever see
the pottery!

Having said that, you should still pursue finding out if you need
permission...maybe it could lead to you meeting the band :-))))
