What.? ..Get into our system by breathing.???. You mean to tell me there
is still someone out there so careless as to mix glaze without the proper
mask/respirator? If so, then the cow isn't the only thing around that is MAD.
!!!! If all this mad cow bone ash thing bothers you, why not use the "man
made" bone ash and get on with your glaze making...

Don't eat the bone ash. You can only get the prions in your system by eating=
=20
them.

the prions that cause this disease are protein-- and would be destroyed in
the heating process to produce bone ash. If you think they would not --
then consider how they would survive the glaze firings.. These are proteins
-- not water soluable --not absorbed thru the skin.. Relax people.. mix
your glazes .!!!!. Now is someone has a habit of eating bone ash then mayvbe..
just maybe you have a concern.. but if you eat bone ash yoiu have other
concerns alreay.
